It's possible to make a DIY battery with a lemon, copper coin and galvanized nail (search Google for make your own lemon battery) One lemon won't produce enough power for a single LED (apparently 4 will) so to run your lights or TV you will need something a little more advanced. Modern day solar kit batteries are capable of providing huge amounts of power and have a reasonably long life if looked after.
